Jump & Dragon Dive Mechanics and Testing[]
Putting this here instead of the reddit. I did some quick testing with Kain's Dragon Dive and can't seem to get near the predicted 6.72x multiplier.
Testing was done against Siren v2 and no killers or elementals were changing the numbers (Ifrit as Esper, Deathscyth as weapon and no Materia equipped). I only have a limited set of tests (1 normal attack at 7458 and 4 Dragon Dives at 43241, 36073, 40451 and 44496) but the range I observed was from ~5.96 (high end) to ~4.83 (low end).
Could someone point me to where 6.72 was confirmed to be accurate? --CyberGhost42 (talk) 02:34, 31 October 2016 (EDT)
- Are you sure you are using dragon dive and not jump? I just tested it, normal attack ~2190, jump (not dragon dive) 12742. It came out at ~5.8, in line with the calculated modifier of 5.76 --Cysidus (talk) 03:10, 31 October 2016 (EDT)
- Positive unless repeat replaces DD with Jump.
- There could be something else happening as well or biased RNG, going to try stripping him and do some more testing.
