Though this wolf's sense of sight may not be good, its sense of smell is so good that it can sense and locate and attack prey in the dark. It is particularly sensitive to the smell of blood, and once it senses an injured human or animal it creeps up close and then attacks. Despite being extremely dangerous monsters with characteristically keen senses, one can decrease their chances of encountering one by taking along strong-smelling greenery and so forth.
