Red Roper

Red Roper
Red Roper
Race Stone
No. 694

A reddish colored monsters [sic] with multiple tentacles growing from it. Many researchers are finding great interest in learning about the mysterious life cycle of these monsters. A roper's tentacle will regenerate after being severed, so researchers are seeking a way to utilize its regenerative powers for the good of the people. One matter of interest - the dip around the mid part of the monster is not a mouth. It seems as if it doesn't require a mouth as it absorbs life energy from the prey it captures by using its tentacles.

Notes[edit | edit source]

Red Roper has high DEF, SPR, and ATK. It will buff itself even further so you will need a Dispel type ability. Your best bet is to have multiple units that can inflict paralysis, such as Noctis with Fire Flask (use a different flask thereafter because of its +50% Fire Resist). It uses Strike twice and attacks twice. <25% HP, Strike is replaced by Sweep (AoE, high damage with Ignore DEF). It can easily wipe a team. Evade may be effective for avoiding this.

When attacked by ability damage, it will buff itself and do an extremely powerful HP drain and MP drain. Bringing at least 2 mana battery units is helpful should you wish to deal only ability damage. Auto-attacks are effective otherwise up until it is below 25%, at which point you could then try to burst it down to avoid Sweep.
