Summary[edit | edit source]

  • All of the magic is Dark Element, and there are no imperils. Gearing for 100% Dark Resist can help.
  • Some physical attacks No Cover.png ignore cover and No Provoke.png ignore provoke
  • Shadowlord will dispel himself almost every turn (removing his breaks)
  • This self-dispel usually happens mid-turn, which can cause the follow-up attacks to hit very hard
  • Mirage (or double or triple mirage) is extremely helpful to negate the cover piercing attacks
  • When below 50%, Shadowlord will alternate three turns of physical or magical immunity

Tips[edit | edit source]

  • See testimonials and discussions.
  • Shadow Lord uses a few physical attacks that bypass cover and provoke, which normally isn't that big of a deal, but he has a very annoying gimmick. Almost every turn Shadow Lord is going to dispel himself, removing all of his debuffs and breaks... and then he keeps on attacking without breaks. This can lead to some hard hitting attacks (that bypass cover).
  • The easiest way to deal with this is gearing your team in 100% dark resist (after a buff), using mirage (more stacks, the better), and physical cover. The dark resist will completely negate all of the magic damage, the physical tank will cover some of the physical AoE's, and mirage (1, 2, or 3 stacks) will help with the physical attacks that bypass cover.
  • Shadow Lord will start swapping between physical or magical immunity every few turns when below 50% health, but otherwise that's the fight. Don't forget that because he dispels himself almost every turn, you're going to want an easy way to re-apply breaks and imperils.
