Quick strategy[]
This strategy aims to kill Omega as fast as possible to avoid most of its rotation. All units should have 100% fire resist and confusion resist.
What you need:
- Two lightning chainers. The more damage the better but it's not that important.
- Shylt or Mystea for stop resistance and Rikku's Pouch for limit stone fill. Shylt is preferred because he also comes with break resistance.
- Provoke/cover tank with 100% evade and death resist. This is the hardest one to gear for.
- Healer with reraise and death resist if the tank can't be geared for it.
- 7* Olive with as much damage as possible.
First turn:
- Chainers chain.
- Shylt uses stop resist.
- Cover tank uses cover skill if no death resist or provoke if it has it.
- Healer casts reraise on chainers, just in case.
- Olive uses Protagonist Halo on healer if tank isn't provoking. Otherwise, chain cap with Empowering Shot.
Second turn:
- Chain and cap with True Shot.
- Shylt uses Eccentrick.
- Provoke or cover with tank, depending on last turn.
- Healer casts reraise on Shylt.
Third turn:
- Chain and cap with True Shot.
- Shylt uses magic cover.
- Healer and tank have free turns, do whatever helps. Use esper/LB if available.
Fourth turn:
- Omega should be nearly dead. Depending on how much esper/LB you've filled, chainers chain to finish filling.
- Shylt uses stop resist.
- Tank reapplies whatever skill has worn off.
- Healer casts reraise on Shylt and one chainer.
- Olive uses Protagonist Halo on healer as snort bait. Make sure this is used last.
Fifth turn:
- You should have built up esper gauge and LBs on tanks/Olive by now. If your tank resists death, you can last a few more turns.
- Shylt and tank use esper/LB if one of each hasn't been used already.
- Chain and cap with Olive LB to win.

3 turn kill[]
I was hoping I wouldn't have to go this route, but for all the previous tries earlier, it was worth it. Also note that because I beat it in the time I did, I cannot predict what will happen, who will live, who will die, past this turn.
Team Setup[]
- 100% fire resist on everyone, friend unit included (Phoenix and Ifrit were of great help)
- Assume everyone is ability awakened.
- 100% Evade phys aoe cover tank (90% can work but it's not worth the heartache if you get unlucky)
- 100% provoke tank with death resist
- Healer with death resist that can dc reraise (dc isn't necessary, but is more of a safety net should things go wrong)
- 2x chainers that are easy to chain. The Divine Ruination family is recommended. Lightning element weapons placed in the L. Hand are recommended.
- 7★ Olive friend geared to have the highest ATK and as a machine killer

Strategy[]
- Survive the pre-emptive attack.
- Evade tank covers. Provoke tank provokes. 7★ Olive friend uses Empowering Shot. Wait ~3 seconds after casting before engaging the 2x chainers to chain. Healer uses reraise on Olive.
- Mortar Beacon rains from the heavens. Evade tank can either guard or use an ATK and/or MAG break. Olive uses Immolation Blast. Wait ~5 seconds after casting before engaging the 2x chainers to chain. Healer uses reraise on themselves or anyone besides the chainers. If you're dc-ing, by now everyone but the chainers will have reraise on them. Omega was at ~19% HP for me.
- Thanks to the reraise, Olive revives after Immolation Blast kills her. Olive uses Empowering Shot. Wait ~3 seconds after casting before engaging the 2x chainers to chain. Omega should die.
