The area map has several stages which must be cleared in order. Parties and equipment can't be changed on the area map. You will not be able to return to the home screen until you complete all stages or give up. Losing on a battle will also return you to the home screen, losing all progress and energy used unless lapis is used to revive.
There are two types of stages, one being battle stages, in which wave battles occurs, and the other being scenario stages, in which story scenes play out.

- Bring physical damage attackers and a physical cover tank preferably with 100% evasion.
- Bring blind, sleep, and confuse resistance and a way to restore MP.
- Stage 1 is Dragon race and weak to ice, Stage 2 is Machina race and weak to wind, and Stage 3 is Human race and weak to both ice and wind.

Example Strategy[]
- Example Team used for clearing with all missions:
This team only used 4* and below TMR's or free equipment. The units used could be swapped out for anyone to fill those same roles.
Basch physical covers on all three bosses. Tsukiko handles breaks, with Basch taking over after she gets ejected (first fight only). Citra does magic mitigation and helps with esper missions. Aerith provides general mitigation and healing. Items are used for the elemental damage mission.
For battle one, Citra provokes (plushie + ifrit) on the 50% threshold eject. Tsukiko provokes (plushie + golem) on the 30% eject, and Basch takes over breaking for the rest of that fight.
The second and third fight are pretty straightforward with physical cover and breaks. Be sure to dispel the boss's buffs on all three fights when they buff themselves.
