The first time you encounter the boss, it will let you pass. You will clear the exploration but the mission to defeat the boss can only be done on repeat run.

Map Tips

• See testimonials and discussions.
• Each floor does not have a mini-map until its respective tablet is examined.
• Random fights are quite difficult and may include pre-emptive attacks - bring a strong team including a source of MP recovery.
• Random enemies, including those with innate resistances to a certain category of attacks, are still vulnerable to status ailments. Use Toxic Rain or Rikku's Pouch to trivialize a great deal of the dungeon.
• The boss is much harder than typical world bosses. With difficulty reaching upper trial level, approximately 8-10★.
• It is recommended to take Vesvia into your party on your first run because you are not required to defeat Ochu on first clear.
• Floor 18 directions:
  • Go to the area on the left. Make the statues face each other. If they are made to face away from each other, a chest will be revealed.
  • Go to the area on the right. Pour water on the salty plant. Pouring water on the sweet plants will reveal a chest. Pouring water on the sour plants will start a monster battle.
  • Return to the main room and step on the floor switch.
• Make sure you step on the magic circle on Floor 20, which will activate 2-way teleportation to Floor 16. This will help you to bypass all encounters before you fight Ochu later.

Boss Tips

• Bring a magic cover tank with some passive provoke.
• Gear the party in status ailment resists or take a unit that can buff status ailments resistance.
• Bring a healer that can cure stop.
