Every week after maintenance day, a new boss challenge will be available. Complete all stages once to obtain all rewards, repeating the stages will not give more rewards until the next boss challenge. Each challenge will have an element and/or damage typed weakness as described in the Moogle's strategy and dungeon name. Red Star Quartz will be rewarded upon completion, which can be exchanged on Theo's Workshop for door enhancement units (doors).

Doors can be used to increase the parameter boost limit that can be boosted by pots, by up to one and a half its normal limit, rounded down. Once the limit is increased, you have to boost it further with pots to gain its boosts.

For example:

• A unit with 200 ATK base and 65 ATK boost limit.
• You can boost this unit with pots up to 265 ATK.
• Use doors to break the boost limit up to 32 ATK extra boost limit.
• Now you can use pots again until 297 ATK.
