Tips

• See testimonials and discussions.
• Obake Lantern and Youkai Lantern use the same AI as March of the Demons. Their pre-emptive attacks, however, are far weaker. On ELT, 7k HP and 300 DEF/SPR will be more than enough to survive the Youkai Lantern's initial Melting Candle.
• Fighting Tsukumogami directly is doable, but very hard and extensive due to its very high defenses and massive HP.
• It's advisable to bring Fire resistance on the whole party to counter both magic damage and the DoT. 50% plus elemental buffs (WoL Lenna, Myra, Sylvie, Awakened Rain) are enough to properly defend the party from Fire damage. HP Barriers will likewise help with mitigation. Imperil is only done by the Paper Onis, which become a non-issue if killed on the turn they are summoned.
• A physical Tank with passive Provoke is more than enough to soak both the ST attacks and the DoT if properly geared. It's recommended to have 1,3k DEF and over 20k HP in order to survive both, especially at the latter parts of the battle, when the DoT becomes fiercer.
• The fight can be done with three DPS units, as Magic Tanks are not strictly necessary for the fight, particularly if you can kill the Paper Onis in a single turn.
• Avoid leaving more than two Paper Onis alive, as their damage increases and their DoT can stack.
• Bring confuse and petrify resistance to deal with the ailments from Tsukumogami and its summons.
• Bring Magic and General mitigation to deal with its fixed attacks.
• Hitting Tsukumogami with Fire damage causes him to spawn a Sealing Shard. Killing five Sealing Shards grants a sealing skill to be used, damaging Tsukumogami for half its HP.

Update: Magic Cover is not needed if you kill the spawns every round.

Everyone on the team had 90-100% fire resist (with a buff). Sieghard provokes the ST physical damage and DoT. Charlotte covers the magic. Kryla breaks the small lanterns when they spawn, and she deals fire damage every round to the main lantern.

Circe's AoE water chain to kill all spawns every turn. After enough Sealing Shards have been killed, someone uses the unlocked skill to deal 250m damage to the main boss. Then repeat the process until five more shards have died to win the fight.
