These monsters are said to live in Lake Dohr in a faraway world where a particular great water dragon dwells, but how they got there remains a mystery. Defeating them is easy if one employs lightning attacks, which is their weakness, but the ouroboros' attack may turn one to stone, so be very wary when facing one.
