A monster from the faraway land of Ivalice. A strange variety of steeling, it is flat from its head to its tail and prefers to dwell in underground caverns. Amidst the darkness, it relies on the use of sound to pinpoint the location of any outsiders, as well as its prey. The name of "redmaw" comes from the color of its mouth, which is always crimson after drinking its victims' blood. Its powerful bite releases a powerful venom that can kill even the largest of fiends.
