Tanking the whole way (safe)[]
Ardyn hits like a truck, however, like most trucks he will eventually run out of fuel. When you cross thresholds the fight actually gets easier. So if you cant otko or do huge leaps of damage then this is the guide for you! Ofcourse, one person with the same fashion sense comes to mind when fighting Ardyn, and that is Doctor Aiden.
Note: Teams have all above 1k HP and some defense/passive evasions to help em curve the damage a bit. This fight took me 16 turns, can be less for you if you have better DPS. Completed all 3 missions in one run.
Team/role:
Doctor Aiden/Healer/aoe reraise spam: Your team will die alot, however if you can keep the aoe reraise up you will be golden. Start turn one with Operation Spoonful of Sugar and Operation Resucitation. Then the continuing turns you can repeat Operation Resuscitation and the DEF+Heal operation. If you use other characters instead, make sure to have other sources of aoe healing, and be sure to at least keep reraise on your mag cover. Optional: Ravens Cape so he cant be touched.
Charlotte/Mag Cover: Start by mag covering and then continue doing so every time you die and revive, feel free to use the LB as well. On the last threshold (9%) cover is no longer necessary so just do def buffs for the team. Shell die a lot, so keep her on reraise. Other mag covers work too, just be sure they don't use cooldowns as their mag covers.
King Edgar of Figaro/Breaker: Any decent 70% or more breaker can do the job. Have alot of high tide and LB gain to keep the break going and to do the LB finish mission as well.
Sylvie/Def Support: Provides defensive buffs every single turn, uses dispel on the 50% treshold to take away Ardyns atk buff. She cant dispel the buff Ardyn gains on the 9% threshold, remember that!
2 Elena/2 DPS: The tougher the better, with as much human killer as you can. This isnt a race, but its worth to hit hard for those 1000 lapis missions. For Elena, just do her basic damage rotation for Light or Ice, whichever you prefer.
